2 Colouring the wool. Traditional dyes are all natural. All SËBOU colours are mainly processed from flowers, if not we’ve kept the wool’s natural shade. We are 100% involved in the production and the palette we use is organic.

3 Washing off the overdye and cleaning the wool.

6 Create big rolls out of the yarn.

7 Remove unnecessary threads, to make the yarn as great as ever possible. Then roll out the yarn again and wash it one more time.

8 Again: Roll the finished yarn.

Wool is a living and it cleanses itself. SËBOU rugs are to last for lifetimes and will modify over time if treated with proper care. To make your experience with SËBOU as great as ever possible, we recommend a few sovereign doings:

Once you receive your rug and it’s ready to roll out, vacuum clean or aerate your rug.
When vacuum cleaning the rug: Vacuum clean both sides and always with the fur.
Be sure not to place heavy furniture on the rug since it may crush the fibers and create dents. However, using furniture coasters will help prevent depressions in the rug.
The rug will release some extra wool and fibres. There will be more in the beginning and less with time and usage.
Use a rug pad to reduce wear and tear. Rug pads extend the life of your rug. They prevent slipping, absorb sound and provide cushioning and softness. A custom area rug padis a good investment for area rug owners.
Avoid friction on the mat. Use pads for table feet and other furnishing placed on the rug to avoid damage.
You can use both sides of the rug. To make sure the carpet gets an even finish and reduce damage with time we recommend you to turn your mat occasionally.
Remember that positioning your rug in a bright and sunlit room will cause fading. However, using blinds or drapes to block direct sunlight will prevent some sun damage. Another option to reduce uneven wear and fading is to rotate your area rug annually.
If you spill on your SËBOU, you can quickly put salt or corn flour to absorb most of the liquid.
Avoid dry clean, it reduces the quality of the wool.
No rug treatment replaces occasional professional cleaning. Even with regular home care, professional area rug cleaning is a must to extend the life of your rug and bring out its natural beauty and bright colors. The average time recommended between professional cleanings is every 12-18 months. However, if your rug is in a heavy traffic area, if you have pets, or if you suffer from airborne allergies, you may need to clean more often. Only professional area rug cleaning removes pet urine odors and other pet allergens, cigarette smoke, mold spores and dust mites and only professional rug cleaning ensures that the cleaning method does not make dyes bleed and cause damage to your rug.
